Passion for linen

Linen has been recognised as an exceptional textile with unique qualities for centuries. Its natural comfort, durability and elegance mean that it is the ideal material for tasteful and contemporary products.

Linen has been recognised as an exceptional textile with unique qualities for centuries. Its natural comfort, durability and elegance mean that it is the ideal material for tasteful and contemporary products.

Organic

More and more of us are turning to natural products that are more meaningful. We are increasingly concerned with ethical considerations, social responsibility and a more intelligent way of making use of raw materials. Linen is interesting because it fulfils these criteria.

Flax, from which linen is made, is the only natural fibre that is still cultivated on a large scale in Western Europe. The best flax comes from the region between Caen in France and Amsterdam in the Netherlands, where the moderate climate and the soil quality is ideal. The flax is even more appealing if it is organically grown without artificial fertiliser and pesticides and with less water and energy. The plant itself is also used in its entirety, without any waste, and the things that it is made into are completely biodegradable or recyclable, meaning that linen fabrics are exceptionally sustainable.

Elegant and sleek

Linen has countless advantages: Durable yet comfortable: It is light and beautiful, has a rich texture and is pleasant to the touch. It is soft, but strong, and lasts a long time. The more you use it, the softer and stronger it gets. Ideal for hot and cold weather: Linen feels cool in hot weather and warm in the winter, because of its high insulating qualities.

“The more you use it, the softer and stronger it gets.”

What we at Kepri think is very important is that linen offers a good night’s sleep. Researchers have discovered that you fall asleep faster, sleep deeper and wake up feeling better. Linen actively helps the body recover because it harmonises with the body cells.

We are proud of the bedlinen that we offer in our Kepri collection. Not only is it a local and 100% organic product, but it also carries the Belgian Linen label, an internationally registered mark of quality. The linen from that country known as the best in the world. The reputation is based on years of expertise, local experience and traditional craftsmanship. The Belgian Linen label can only be used for linen fabrics that have been woven in Belgium and which contain at least 85% natural flax of EU origin by weight. Our bedclothes are therefore the bee’s knees of the linen world, produced in three natural tints and washed beforehand to make it extra soft.

“About a third of our life is spent asleep, every reason to make sure that you feel good in bed.”

You have to experience linen for yourself. The look and feel is luxurious but it is also tough and, above all, comfortable. Once you’ve slept in linen, there’s no going back to other fabrics. And that’s how a passion for it starts. About a third of our life is spent asleep, every reason to make sure that you feel good in bed. An investment in linen is an investment in the quality of life.
